Toyota has showcased the Vellfire MPV at a private event in India. The car appears to be similar to the one offered in South Asian markets and might be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The Vellfire has split headlamps with LED daytime running lights integrated into the lower lights. It has a chrome grille with a thick chrome bar and a large air dam with triangular fog lamp pods on either side. The MPV also has ORVMs with integrated turn signals.

The car has black interiors with faux wood inserts on the dashboard. It has what appears to be a silver trim around the centre console, which houses a screen and the air-conditioning module. It also gets a leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel with wooden inserts and a twin-pod instrument cluster. It comes with features such as ventilated and heated seats with memory and reclining function, leather upholstery, power side and rear doors, twin moonroof, sunshades, ambient lighting, individual seat tables, automatic climate control and personal spot lights among others.

In India, the Vellfire is likely to be offered with a 2.5-litre, petrol hybrid. It could be mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and E-Four 4WD system.
