Toyota Yaris base variant price hiked by up to Rs. 54,000

Toyota has increased the price of the base J variant of the Yaris. The manual has gone up by Rs. 54,000 while the automatic variant now costs Rs. 4,000 more. The new ex-showroom price for the the J MT is Rs. 9,29,000 and the J AT now costs Rs. 9,99,000. Prices of the other variants remain the same.

The Yaris is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 106 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. The automatic is available as an option for all variants of the car. No diesel engine is offered. The Yaris was launched earlier this year and comes with 7 airbags as standard. It has also received a 5-star rating by the ASEAN NCAP.
