Triumph Street Scrambler, Street Twin to be renamed

The Street Triple could be rebadged to Speed Triple 765 in the future.

According to a leaked document, Triumph Motorcycles is likely to rename two of its popular models - the Street Scrambler and Street Twin.

The document reveals that the Street Scrambler could be renamed to 'Scrambler 900', while the Street Twin could be called the 'Speed Twin 900' going forward. It's worth noting that the 'name change requests' have been filed in Australia and therefore could be market-specific.

This is not the first time that Triumph has renamed its bikes. Earlier, the company changed the name of the Tiger Explorer to Tiger 1200, while the Speed Triple was rebranded as the Speed Triple 1200.

The Street Triple will remain the only model in Triumph's line-up with the 'Street' moniker. However, it too might be rebadged to Speed Triple 765 in the future.
