Triumph Tiger 850 Sport unveiled

The new adventure tourer replaces the Tiger 900 in Triumph's line-up.

Triumph has unveiled a new entry level variant of the Tiger called the 850 Sport. It will replace the Tiger 900.

The Tiger 850 Sport is a tarmac-focused touring bike. It features twin LED headlamps with an integrated LED daytime running light similar to the Tiger 900 and comes with a 5-inch digital instrument cluster. The bike features 19-inch and 17-inch wheels in the front and rear respectively.

Powering the Tiger 850 Sport is an 888cc, in-line 3-cylinder engine that delivers 84 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 82 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slip and assist clutch. It has two riding modes - Road and Rain.

The bike rides on 45 mm upside down Marzocchi forks and has an adjustable Marzocchi monoshock at the rear. The braking setup consists of twin 320 mm discs at the front and a 255 mm disc brake at the rear.
