Uber slashes fares by 25% in Mumbai

Premium taxi service, Uber has announced a drop in fares by 25% across its range in Mumbai. The company claims that hiring an Uber is almost as cheap as hiring an autorickshaw and if one uses the split-fare option with someone else, it can be cheaper than an autorickshaw. There is no promotion code required to avail of this offer. Customers can see the promotion already applied to their receipts.

This offer is for a limited period. However, the company claims that if response is favourable and more and more Mumbai residents use the service, the offer could be extended.
