UK: MG Hector Plus spied during ad shoot; to get new colour

The MG Hector Plus has been spied undisguised during an ad shoot in the UK. The spy images suggest that the car will come with a new dark blue shade, which is said to be called the Starry Sky Blue. This colour is not expected to be offered in the 5-seat Hector.

The Hector Plus is 40 mm longer than the regular Hector. It could come in 6 and 7-seater configurations. The car gets an updated 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a panoramic sunroof.

The SUV is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel producing 168 BHP and 350 Nm. The engine could be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It could also get a 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT as well as a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain.

The Hector Plus is expected to be launched in July 2020.
