Ultraviolette F77 e-bike unveiled

Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled its first electric bike called the F77. It comes in three variants - Lightning, Shadow and Laser and prices are expected to start at Rs. 3 lakh. 

The Ultraviolette F77 is claimed to be the first high-performance e-bike. The fully-faired bike is based on a steel trellis frame. The seat height is 800 mm and the bike weighs 158 kg.

The F77 comes with a TFT instrument cluster that can be connected to a mobile app. It will be offered with a portable fast charger, crash guards, panniers and a different visor.

The F77 comes with an air-cooled electric motor that has a claimed output of 33.5 BHP @ 2,250 rpm and 90 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 4.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a range of 130-150 km on a single charge. It takes 5 hours to recharge the battery to full capacity, while a fast charger is said to reduce the charging time to 1.5 hours.

The F77 comes with three power modes - Eco, Sport and Insane. The company claims that the bike can achieve 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Its claimed top speed is 147 km/h.

The F77 features upside down fork suspension at the front and has an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. It comes equipped with a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear and has dual-channel ABS.

Customers can register their interest on this website. Initially, the bike will be available in Bangalore only. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q3-2020.
