Upgraded my Himalayan 450 with gold tubeless spoke wheels

The wheels come as a complete set. The rims are fitted with hubs, spokes, new discs and even set of cush rubbers for the rear hub.

Accessory purchase : Gold Tubeless Spoked Wheels

I have been waiting since long for this OEM accessory which is a much needed upgrade indeed.

Had booked these wheels through the RE app on 04 October, the day they were launched.
Paid ₹ 12,424.00 for the set. Those who opt for these wheels with the bike now would pay only ₹11,000.00 extra.
Maybe some reverse loyalty bonus scheme from RE here

The wheels come as a complete set. The rims are fitted with hubs, spokes, new discs and even set of cush rubbers for the rear hub. Additionally, an adapter is provided which is required to be fitted onto the rear hub.

Since installation involves only swapping the old wheels with the pre-assembled tubeless wheels, it is just a matter of 1.5 to 2 hours.

Few points to keep in mind :-

  • There is no tube now. So, If the old tyre had suffered a damage or puncture, it needs to be located and repaired. Else, leakage might occur.
  • Pl check for any overnight tyre pressure losses, which might occur due to wrong fitting
  • The tyre pressure for both wheels is same as before, ie 32 psi. The tyre-wallah might recommend otherwise, please disregard.
  • As long as possible, go for machine fitting to avoid any damage to the edges which manual removal/fitting causes at times.
  • The new wheels have a raised edge and tyre bead seats on the inside. Make sure while fitting tyre that the beads and bead seat are aligned properly, especially if done manually.
  • These tyres have directional treads, hence the tyre direction marked with arrow on the walls to be fitted correctly, else it might cause loss of grip
