Vardenchi-Moto Morini to launch two bikes at Auto Expo

Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Moto Morini will launch two bikes in India at the 2014 Auto Expo.

The Granpasso is an Enduro-style bike with a 1187 cc, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that produces 120 PS and 103 Nm of torque, mated to 6-speed gearbox. The bike uses a high tensile tubular steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are taken care of by a Marzocchi upside down fork at the front and an Ohlins side-mounted monoshock at the rear. Brembo disc brakes provide stopping power for the bike.

The second bike that will be displayed is the Scrambler, a rugged-looking, multi-porpose bike, powered by a 1187 cc, V-Twin engine good for 120 PS and 102 Nm of torque. The bike gets dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear. Like the Granpasso, the Scrambler sports a high tensile tubular steel trellis frame with a Marzocchi upside down fork at the front. At the rear, there is a Paioli side-mounted monoshock.

The bikes will be imported through the CBU route and distributed by Mumbai-based custom bike builder, Vardenchi. Vardenchi-Moto Morini will announce prices for both the bikes during the launch and deliveries are expected to commence in June-July 2014.

Apart from the Granpasso and the Scrambler, Vardenchi-Moto Morini will unveil a jointly developed motorcycle at the Auto Expo.
