Last week there were reports suggesting that Kia was planning a Venue-based compact SUV. Now, a test mule of the said car has reportedly been spotted.
The camouflaged test mule appears to have a somewhat similar shape to the Venue. It has LED tail lamps, blacked-out B-pillars, roof rails and a short rear overhang.
Codenamed the QYI, Kia's compact SUV is expected to be offered with the same engine options as the Hyundai Venue. It could get the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and more than one automatic transmission option.
The Kia QYI is expected to compete with the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
