The Mahindra KUV100 will be launched on January 15, 2016. The company revealed details and images of the vehicle on December 18, 2015. Now it has been caught on video at what appears to be a Mahindra workshop.

In the video, two units of the KUV100 are seen. While one wears a Pearl White paint job, the other is in Fiery Orange. Both cars have features such as alloy wheels, rear wash & wipe and front fog lamps with chrome inserts for their housings, suggesting that they are a higher variant.

The KUV100 measures less than four metres in length. At the front, it has a long and narrow grille with a honeycomb mesh pattern and Scorpio-like claws, sweptback headlamps, a bumper with a silver skid plate and fog lamps.

The sides of the car feature blackened B-Pillars, prominent wheel arches and character lines and a black plastic cladding. The rear door handles are placed in line with the rear windows and have a silver outline. The roof line of the car slopes downwards towards the rear.

At the rear there are wraparound tail lamps, an integrated rear spoiler and a bumper with reflectors at both ends.

On the inside, the KUV100 gets a dashboard with silver and piano black inserts, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, rectangular air-conditioner vents, an infotainment system with a small display screen and vertically stacked control knobs for the air-conditioner. The gear lever is mounted on the centre console and the handbrake is mounted just below the dashboard and has a pull & twist action.

The KUV100 will be available with a choice of two engines:

1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol (G80); 82 BHP @ 5,500 rpm, 114 Nm @ 3,500 rpm

1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel (D75); 77 BHP @ 3,750 rpm, 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm

Both engines comply with BS-IV emission norms and are mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
