The Vietnam-based EV brand is setting up a manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu.

VinFast is also working on a new electric scooter designed specifically for the Indian market. This was revealed by Ashwin Patil, Deputy CEO of VinFast India, on the sidelines of the Auto Expo.

Patil said, "We’re working on that project as well. India is the largest two-wheeler market globally. We’re working on customer preferences and customer choice, and soon you will hear our plans on electric two-wheelers."

The Vietnam-based EV brand is setting up a manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu. The new factory will have a production capacity of 50,000 units per annum. The company will initially focus on building the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs.
