Volkswagen Polo to get more features

Volkswagen is gearing up to give the Polo hatchback some additional features in India. The car is expected to be launched later this month.

These features include electrically foldable door mirrors, a cooled glove box and cruise control. These features were introduced on the facelifted Vento sedan, which was launched earlier this year.

Along with the additional features, the Polo is also expected to get see a price hike. Prices of the Trendline and Comfortline variants are likely to go up by Rs. 5,000 (approximately) and the Highline trim level is likely to cost Rs. 15,000 (approximately) more.

The updated Polo will be powered by the same engines and transmissions as the current model.

  • 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, 74 BHP, 110 Nm, 5-speed manual transmission
  • 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, 103 BHP, 175 Nm, 7-speed DSG automatic transmission

Diesel

  • 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, 89 BHP, 230 Nm, 5-speed manual transmission
  • 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, 103 BHP, 250 Nm, 5-speed manual transmission
