Volkswagen Virtus launched at Rs. 11.21 lakh

The Virtus competes with the Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna.

Volkswagen has announced the pricing for the Virtus mid-size sedan. The car is available in two trims – Dynamic Line and Performance Line with prices starting at Rs. 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Volkswagen Virtus is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which it shares with the Skoda Slavia. The exterior styling of the Virtus is distinct and typical VW, with clean and crisp lines. The car gets LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard.

Inside, the Virtus comes with a contemporary dashboard. It features a touchscreen infotainment system with 8-speakers as standard across the range. The car also gets a digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control with touch-sensitive controls.

The Dynamic Line comes with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 113 BHP and 175 Nm, while the Performance Line packs a 1.5-litre TSI engine that puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
