Volvo C40 Recharge to be unveiled in India on June 14

The C40 Recharge could be offered in dual-motor configuration with a range of 370-420 km.

Volvo is all set to unveil its second all-electric model, the C4 Recharge, in India on June 14, 2023. The electric SUV will go on sale later this year.

The Volvo C40 Recharge is based on the brand's CMA platform. In the international market, the SUV is available in single and dual-motor configurations.

In India, Volvo is likely to offer the dual-motor all-wheel drive version of the C4 Recharge. It uses a 78 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors, offering a combined output of 400 BHP and 660 Nm. The car is said to have a maximum range of 370-420 km, and the battery can be charged from 10-80% in 37 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger.

The C40 Recharge looks similar to the XC40 Recharge that is currently on sale in India. The biggest difference between the two is the coupe-like roofline of the C40, which does make the car look a tad bit interesting. Overall, the C40 Recharge features a clean design with sharp lines and typical Volvo styling elements like the Thor's hammer-shaped LED daytime running lights and taillight graphic that wraps around the contours of the rear section.

Inside, the C40 Recharge will come equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The car also gets features like automatic climate control, electrically-adjustable front seats, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and ADAS.
