The Volvo S90 is no longer listed on the brand’s Indian website, which indicates that the premium sedan has been discontinued. With the S90 no longer on sale, Volvo India’s lineup only includes SUVs.
The Volvo S90 was priced at Rs 68.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It was locally assembled in India and competed with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5 Series.
In India, the S90 was offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The S90 was equipped with features such as a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, an air purifier and an Android-based touchscreen infotainment system. The car also had a suite of advanced safety systems like Blind Spot Monitoring, cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
Volvo has updated the S90 sold globally. It comes with mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. There has been no indication if the revised S90 will be introduced in the Indian market.
