Volvo XC40 Recharge Electric SUV launch in July 2021

The XC40 Recharge is Volvo's first electric vehicle (EV).

Volvo is expected to launch the XC40 Recharge Electric SUV in India sometime around July 2021.

The XC40 Recharge is Volvo's first electric vehicle (EV). It uses two 150 kW electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles. The combined output is 402 BHP and 659 Nm. Volvo claims that the car does 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is limited to 180 km/h. The electric motors are powered by a 78 kWh battery that is claimed to offer a maximum range of more than 400 km (WLTP cycle). The battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes using a fast charger.

Based on the XC40, it is the first car with the Recharge branding.
