The XC40 Recharge will rival Kia EV6 and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Volvo is gearing up to launch the XC40 Recharge electric SUV in India on July 26, 2022. Deliveries will commence in October.

The XC40 Recharge uses a 78 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors. The combined output is 402 BHP and 660 Nm. Volvo claims that the car does 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is limited to 180 km/h. The SUV can cover 418 km on a single charge.

The XC40 Recharge will be assembled in India at Volvo’s Hosakote plant near Bangalore. It will compete with the recently launched Kia EV6 and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5.
