Volvo XC90 Petrol mild-hybrid launched at Rs. 89.90 lakh

The announcement of the XC90 mild-hybrid comes just weeks after the launch of the updated XC60 and S90.

Volvo has launched the 2021 XC90 petrol mild-hybrid in India. The SUV is priced at Rs. 89.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The announcement of the XC90 mild-hybrid comes just weeks after the launch of the updated XC60 and S90. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. It produces 300 BHP and 420 Nm and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain features a 48 V battery and comes with an integrated starter generator and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System that is said to boost fuel efficiency by 15%.

The 2021 XC90 also gets a few cosmetic changes. The SUV comes with a revised front grille, new alloy wheels and dual exhaust tips. The R-Design trim gets a gloss black exterior trim, window surrounds and ORVMs.

On the inside, the XC90 comes with features such as a 9-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainment system, voice commands, powered tailgate and rearview camera, to name a few.

Volvo offers air-suspension as standard on the XC90. It also gets advanced safety features like Pilot Assist, Park Pilot Assist, Lane keeping aid, Blind Spot Information System, Cross traffic alert, Collision mitigation support, among others.
