VW T-Cross confirmed for India

Andreas Kruger, Head of Small Car Product Line, Volkswagen has told the media that the carmaker is planning to launch the T-Cross in India, China, Europe and South America.

The VW T-Cross is based on the MQB A0 platform. The car measures 4,107 mm in overall length and is designed with rear legroom and boot space in mind. A digital rendering released by VW earlier this month suggests that the SUV could get wraparound tail lights with an LED light bar. It has flared wheel arches and a strong shoulder line. The compact SUV gets roof rails, an integrated roof spoiler and a dual-tone rear bumper.

The T-Cross is expected to be positioned below the T-Roc & Tiguan and is likely to be offered in a front-wheel drive layout. It will feature a slew of safety features including Front Assist with ambient traffic monitoring and Lane Assist. It will go on sale in Europe later this year.
