VW Taigun customer previews begin from August 21

VW dealerships across India have also started accepting pre-bookings.

Volkswagen is gearing up to launch the Taigun in the Indian market this festive season. However, prior to the official launch, the new crossover will be previewed in select cities.

Customers will be able to check out the Taigun from August 21-September 19, 2021, in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chandigarh over consecutive weekends.

While customers will be able to experience the car first hand, the 360-degree visualizer will enable customers to view the features of the Taigun from the comfort of their homes via mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop.

The Taigun will be offered with two petrol engines options - a 1.0-litre TSI with 113 BHP and 175 Nm and a 1.5-litre TSI putting out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. While a 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard with both engines, the 1.0L engine will get a 6-speed automatic option and the 1.5L motor will get a 7-speed DSG.
