WagonR-based Toyota EV interior spied

The WagonR-based Toyota EV is rumoured to be called the HyRyder.

Last week, the first images of the WagonR-based electric hatchback had surfaced online. The new model is rumoured to be called the Toyota HyRyder. Now, new spy images have revealed the car's interior.

The interior of the so-called HyRyder is borrowed from the WagonR. However, there are a few differences. While the centre console looks identical to that of the Maruti hatchback, the automatic climate control module has been lifted from the Dzire.

The steering wheel and instrument cluster have been borrowed straight from the WagonR. The latter consists of an analogue speedometer and an MID, which has a battery bar on the right-hand side.

This particular test car does not have an infotainment system. But, that could change on the production version.

The Toyota HyRyder could use a 72 V electric drive powered by a 10-25 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Having said that, neither Toyota nor Maruti Suzuki has revealed details of the car's powertrain.
