Why winter motorcycle storage in Sweden was worth it for my Triumph

My Triumph Tiger 800 XCA was stored in a heated garage while I was spending time in India during the winter months.

My motorcycle is back on the road after having spent a long hibernation in the winter storage.

Winter Storage (Vinterförvarning) is a service wherein one can leave their motorcycle in the care of the storage provider for the winter months, usually from October till May.

The bike is stored in a heated garage/warehouse, a service or maintenance of the bike can be requested, a trickle charger is connected so the battery doesn't go flat, and when the bike is ready to be delivered, it is given a wash and a test ride.

Overall, I was very happy with this service as I usually spend time in India in the winter for a couple of months. I could put my bike in storage and not worry about it.

The dealer contacted me with a list of things they felt needed fixing, and I chose the things I wanted fixed by them. I contacted the dealer when I wanted to collect the bike and received an SMS when it was ready.

The bike had been washed and was shining on the day I picked it up. It was super easy.
