Yamaha FZS-FI with rear disc brake launched at Rs. 86,042

To commemorate 10 years of the FZ series in India, Yamaha has launched the FZS-FI motorcycle with a rear disc brake. The bike is priced at Rs. 86,042 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The FZS-FI is based around a diamond type frame. The overall length of the bike is 2,073 mm and it measures 770 mm in width and 1,050 mm in height while the seat height is set at 790 mm. The wheelbase of the FZS-FI is 1,330 mm and it comes with a 12-litre fuel tank

The styling of the bike is identical to the standard FZS-FI, however it now comes in a new paint colour - Armada Blue. It gets redesigned mirrors and a new set of alloy wheels. It has a multi-function instrument panel with Eco indicator. The bike rides on conventional telescopic front suspension and has monoshock rear setup.

The FZS-FI is powered by a 149 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection. It produces 13 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Unlike the standard bike that has a drum brake at the rear, the new FZS-FI has a 282 mm disc brake in the front and a 220 mm disc in the rear.
