Yamaha India recalls 902 units of YZF-R3

Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. has found a defect which relates to malfunctioning of the clutch assembly and oil pump assembly installed in a batch of YZF-R3 bikes. And hence, the manufacturer's Indian arm has issued a recall in the country, which affects 902 units of the R3 sold in India.

The company has also claimed that there have been no complaints from any of its Indian customers about the said issue. As a result, the aforementioned recall has been issued as a voluntary and preventive measure.

The inspection and needed replacement of the faulty parts would be carried out at Yamaha's authorized dealerships across the country. Cost of the entire process will be borne by the automaker, and thus would be free of cost for the owners.
