Yamaha MT-07 spotted in India

The Yamaha MT-07 naked motorcycle has been spotted India. According to a media report, the bike is seen inside Yamaha India's manufacturing facility.

MT-07 sports a diamond frame with telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It measures 2,085 mm in length, 745 mm in width and 1,090 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,090 mm and a ground clearance of 140 mm. It weighs 179 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.

In global markets, the MT-07 is powered by a 689 cc, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine that puts out about 74 bhp and 68 Nm of torque. The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Stopping power is provided by dual disc brakes and the front and a single disc brake at the rear.

If the bike is launched in India, it will compete against bikes such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650, the Benelli TNT 600 and upcoming Honda CBR 650F.
