Yamaha has revealed the special R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute at the EICMA 2021. This specific model has been created by the company to celebrate the legendary career of the 9-time MotoGP world champion, Valentino Rossi who has retired this year.

The Yamaha R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute is equipped with several interesting features. For instance, the livery has been designed by Aldo Drudi, who is The Doctor's helmet designer and a good friend.

The motorcycle is fitted with multiple GYTR (Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing) performance parts such as an electronic throttle, slipper clutch, handlebar set, Marchesini wheelset, front brake protector and much more.

The Yamaha R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute also features parts from the company's WorldSBK development. There is a full carbon fibre rear subframe, carbon fibre fairing and racing screen, Ohlins steering damper and suspension, Brembo brakes, Chrome Lite dashboard with GPS, etc.

The special-edition R1 has a 22-litre factory fuel tank and its 998cc, inline 4-cylinder engine is accompanied by a Marelli REX 140 ECU and WorldSBK-spec air filter.
