For Pioneer Users:-
CD-RB10 (use without cd changer)for connecting Mp3 palyers or anything that has output it was said it directly plays you mp3 players..
CD-RB20 (use with cd changer) It is same as the above one but just works with the changer too..
These cables run directly from the output of your players...
Sorry no Pendrive or HDD can be used..
Gurus can you throw some light on the above products in the pic it is shown two input pins..
What will they be for??

CB-i100ii for ipod and pioneer users..(I think ipod shuffle cant be used as it has a Usb pin)These will rule.....

actually the moment you have a USB in the HU the possibilities are endless ...

for e.g. a UDB card reader costs 125 bucks . plug this into the HU and you can even use the SD and mini SD cards from your cell phone ... and if your cell supports a hot swap .. nothing like it .. you're ready to plug and play

If you can attach a laptop HD to HU then you can carry any amount of music with you.

While Mobile HDDs (2.5") are to some extent shock resistent, the desktop HDDs (3.5") are not. It is better to go for USB Microdrives, which are available in 4+ GB and should be more than enougn to hold about 80+ hours of music.

The great plus for using the USB Flash / Microdrive is that the content could be dynamic and we don't have to write as many CDs and keep as many in the Car.

Sony's Giga Panel has 1 GB built in Flash Memory and the front panel can be connected to your PC through USB drive for copying.

I am a bit disapponted for not having waited a little longer to grab this Sony Giga Panel HU.

Most Modile HDDs are 1.8" (as used on the ipod). Most USB HDDs are 2.5" but I dont think they are as shock resistant as those used on the ipod.

I fully agree with you on that iPod HDDs are the best of being shock resistant.

Lap Tops are intended for use on the move, be it on a Car or be it on the flight. Drawing from that fact, compared to Desktop HDDs, Laptop HDDs are better in being shock resistant.

right said navin...i've already blown two 2.5" HDDs that i use with my laptop...i dont consider them durable at all. considering these go on laptops...i thought they should have been tougher.

guys...any idea how much the USB HU's cost !? can you please post models and prices if possible ?! thanks in advance...

Re: HDD to USB on HU ?!

bumping up a REALLY old thread ( i know) but i have a 2.5" HDD enclosure which allows for external USB power

the catch is that its a 500 hdd is NTFS formatted. I have around 120GB of music, and I feel really greedy and want my entire collection with me. Is this doable?
