Some more pics from the day!

It was a tiring day.

There was a problem of not getting an OFC (Optical Fiber cable), which was the necessary connectivity cable between the amp and the HU. This amp doesn't have a lot of other connectivity options. AiNet is the only other option to connect the HU to this. And the longer AiNet cable was also out of stock.
So, we had to get the Optical cable airlifted from Mumbai. That was a lot of headache, trouble and phone calls.

Here, some more random Pics.

The boot door!

The stock speakers! They are really pathetic looking and sounding.

The whole thing is made of plastic and paper except the magnet.

The Console. I had specifically asked Mitsubishi people not to fit in any HU when we bought the car.

Yes, some more pics.

Ok, the equipment.

The Alpine 550 Digital Theatre amp which is like the heart of this install. The cables which came with it and the centre speaker is also seen.

The Alpine 650 monoblock amp. This was later changed to a 501.
Zuhemi wraps each and every equipment in plastic until it is taken out for the install so that it doesn't gather any dust or dirt.

The Alpine Type R components. These are the latest ones. The older ones sound better.

The Alpine IVA D100E in dash DVD HU.

It cames without any amp built in. This comes with the HU for those who don't want an amp. In our case, this won't be used.

The rear of the HU looks like a nuclear power house with so much cables coming out.

Alpine Reverse camera which can be connected to the HU.

All the thingys lined up on the table before the install.

Things going in.

The crossover for the Type R compos. Just before it was fixed inside the doors.

The woofer as seen from outside.

The front door after the speakers were fitted. Stock tweeter pods on top right.

The boot after the speaker wiring were done. Power cabling was yet to be done.

Getting ready for the HU. Cables getting connected.

The Power cable with the audison fuse block.

Another shot of the power cable.

The power cable coming in. Later, it was concealed and was completely out of sight.

The power cable coming in to the boot.

The centre speaker getting fixed.

And done! Don't ask me why on top. Owner of this car wanted it that way. And Zuhemi gave in after some nice arguing.

That's it for today. Baaki kal dekhe ja!

Sub and amps will be placed in the boot.
The ID sub is not that deep and will only require a shallow box.

I will get some good photos today.

The Prado is not gone anywhere. It cannot be ICED (many here know why ) but it came with good stock ICE in it.
This is one monster we got to ICE as I wish (it's owned by an uncle of mine who is almost my age).

There were some more complications today. The amp is yet to be fixed in. The work is almost getting done.

Today being a Friday, I'll be a bit away from the install. I'll try and get some good pics and will be back with the report by evening.
