ICE for Fiesta EDIT: Now ICEd

Dear Gurus

I am considering the following for my Fiesta (finalized some of it) :
HU - Kenwood X693
Front Speakers - Infinity REF6030CS/KAPPA60.9CS
Rear - Infinity REF9632CF
Mono - Clarion DPX 1851
4 Ch - Harman Kardon CA470
Sub - JBL P1222/ GTi W12 MKII (if I can procure it from abroad)
Wiring - Scosche

I have a few questions.
Firstly is the equipment fine as in is any thing mismatched.
Can the Mono provide sufficient power to the GTi sub.
What power cables should I be using.
Since I am planning to keep rear speakers how can I create a vent for the bass to "flow" into the cabin.
What would be the best choice for the box considering I manage to arrange the GTi. I am keen on a sealed box.
Also I want the rear part of the sub to show even after putting it in a box. Is this possible. A Bandpass enclosure will NOT do.

Any other suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

1. Get Infinity Kappa series speakers instead of the reference.
2. Subs are heavy items. And the Gti is a dead-lift practicing device. Be smart and buy it here.
3. The JBL Gti sub has an impedance of 3 ohms and the Clarion DPX 1851 won't do, IMO.
4. Use Scosche only for the RCAs. Don't use their power cables. I'd rather suggest a JBL or Ground Zero wiring kit. Monster wiring kit is better, but a lot more expensive too.
5. You can make a "port" in the parcel tray section for the "bass to flow".
6. Use 8ga (10mm.sq) wiring for the 4-ch and 4ga (25 mm.sq) for the mono.

Be a little nicer when requesting stuff on here. Nobody here are on your payroll, I think.

  1. HU is fine
  2. Kappa is better, but whatever fits your budget
  3. That isnt available here, its the 9633i you are talking about
  4. Good Amp
  5. Another very good amp
  6. Your amp should be providing about 650 to your sub so i think its fine if you go for the GTi
  7. AFAIK scosche/JBL orignal wiring both are good.
Go for sealed.

1 I think this is a very good buy as i am currently using one . It sound very good but visibility in day light is a very big problem with the HU.

2 HK is a very good amp , sounds very smooth !! Go for it

3 You already own this !!

4 You can get many good comps sets in 13k price range. Look at Rainbows , Hertz , etc !! I would suggest to look at Rainbows and Morels !! Audition few models .

5 Why did u select Jbl Gti ?? Any specific reason for that ? What kinda music you prefer and what all you desire from your sub ??

6 Damping -- Noise Kill

1. Ankit thats the problem with most of the HU's. Remember your 6050 ? Though kenny suffers more than Pio in this regard.

Will Rainbow be a better option as I will be getting an entry level compo system for the same whereas here Im getting the Kappa compos .

I listen to Electro House, Hip Hop and Psytrance mainly. I wanted a sub that goes loud and very low and was getting this at half the price in India so thought of going for it. Im still open to changing it if you could suggest something, better for the type of music i listen to, at the same price.

abhibh auditioning is a long way to go,the stuff like rainbow, morels etc is not even available here in kolkata.
IMO the only other sub in consideration should be the IDQ12v3.

I agree with Djnik.

@abhibh - Great news, that means Ankit would be the best person to suggest a sub.

Why 15" ? I think 12" iDv3 is more than enough. You are using 12" iDv3 aren't you
