Shreeji |Ford, Thane Review

I had done the first free service for my Ford Fiesta at the newly opened Shreeji Ford, Thane workshop. Below are my observations:
  1. I had fixed an prior appointment at 1.30 pm for service. Upon reaching the workshop found most of the advisors had gone for lunch. Had to wait for 30 mins before some one could attend to my vehicle. Shreeji ford should have taken care of my appointment instead of wasting my time.
  2. Before any service advisor could attend to my vehicle there was a mini squabble amongst them and everyone was passing the buck. I suppose no one was interested in the first free service vehicles. Maybe small job, less appreciation, less incentives.
  3. The vehicle was promised to be delivered after service at 5.30 pm. I got a call around 5.30 pm and collected the car at 6pm. The advisor did not even propose to take a test drive with me. When I asked him about that he said if there were any issues I could bring the car back. I think it was already beyond his working hours hence the shrug off.
  4. When I reached home, I found a scratch on one of front doors. When I called the advisor he patiently listened and promised he would take care of the same when I bring in the vehicle. God know how true would that be.
  5. The interiors were found soiled, hand imprints on rear windows. Overall cleanliness was not good at all.
Being a new entrant to the Ford dealership, I thought Shreeji Ford would surprise me with attitude, cleanliness, support but they failed to impress me.

FINAL VERDICT

Ease of setting up appointment 10/10
Customer service 8/10
Quality of work 7/10
Delivery on promised time 10/10
Cleanliness, after service wash 5/10
Documentation - 5/10
Overall satisfaction 6/10
Will I recommend this to others - Yes, if in urgent need only.

Please ensure that you send a mail to Ford customer service with your feedback, and follow it up if required. Lets see what action they take.

@unni

Thanks for the suggestion. Had done that yesterday before I wrote the review in T-bhp. I am waiting for a response from Ford & Shreeji.

Get the scratch taken care of right now. I had been promised a similar thing when I had a Fiat UNO at Angad Auto who conveniently refused to do anything about it when I got my car for the next service. At least take it in writing that they would take care of the scratch on your next visit.

Guys,

Had been to Shreeji Ford, Thane get the scratch recitified on 5th March. Had got a couple of calls from them for the same since I had written to Ford cutomer care regarding the scratch and cleaning quality. I was attended by service advisor the moment I reached the workshop. They removed the scratch which was visible with some machine. When I inspected the same I could not notice it visibly but a very very faint line still remains. Also there was a scratch in the door handle of left front door which the advisor said it would not be possible to remove since they might end up damaging the paint around the handle with the machine. Since it was not very easily seen I had to agree for note getting it done. Guess I will have to live with it.
The interiors which were soiled were cleaned with some soap solution and now looked OK.
The workshop manager requested me to mail Ford customer care about the job done which I promised I would do so.
I enquired about teflon coating check and the underbody coating inspection which they refused saying that it had been provided by Wasan Ford and not by Ford India. Hence I would have to take it to Wasan to get them inspected. Shreeji Ford offers 3M soltions for teflon & underbody coating. This is what happens when the dealer changes and nobody wants to take responsibilty. New Ford buyers need to keep in mind about the same.

Funny state of affairs they have at Shreeji ford.
I am in the middle of a decision making process about a new ford fiesta.
They have a very polite & proactive sales force; but somehow or the other the quotes that they claim are way overboard. Post budget the onroad price quoted went up by 20k when bhavna and wasan increased only 10k. I was shocked out of my socks. This after i had given them a piece of my mind when they had increased the ex-showroom price in the first quote by about 3k claiming that there warehouse came under municipal limits and hence the difference. Yeah right.
The sales manager now calls me up and promises to match any other quote. But its leaving a bad after taste in the mouth.
And yet i like the sales staff i deal with.
But i think i will go with wasan for piece of mind.

@ nairanupg,

I feel the sales force at Shreeji Ford are not that experienced to handle clients esp since they had earlier Tata dealership. They are yet to know that Ford customers are unique and a select few who are aware of Ford's performance. Maybe a few days down the line they should be able to know the tricks of the trade. Wasan was an established Ford dealer for Thane and easily approachable too. You may have made a good desicion to go for them.
Shreeji Ford now has a website of their own as follows Ford Dealer Thane - Shreeji Autoworld Pvt Ltd
The website is good, has lots of information, can book for service online and has got reminders for services. I have registered on the website, lets see how good are the reminder features.

Pathetic service by Shreeji Ford, Thane

Had gone for the third service with odo reading 12285 kms on 13/11/2010. it was a real frustrating experience with the old issues repeated again except with a different service advisor this time.

1) As usual the SA was not aware of the checks being done in 3rd service. Missed out the Wheel alignment/balancing check for which I had to repeatedly remind him.
2) Totally inaccurate estimates given. Initially it was 2400/- later after service it was found to be 4700/-. The advisor sheepishly informing me that he had got the wheel alignment & balancing done for which the charges was 1200/-. I could have got that done outside for 800/-. Add to that the weight cost + VAT & labout cost+ service charge. When I refused to pay for it since the advisor did not take my prior approval for the cost, the service manager intervened and tried to justify saying that they could not have left the alignment/balancing part since there was a need to do so and was against their quality control practice. Grumblingly I had to pay for it.
3) Poor (I mean real poor) post service wash/clean. I showed the advisor the smudge marks on the door trim, bonnet, door areas. The lubricant on the door hinges was literally falling at places. The advisor offered to give a thorough wash the next day since it was time for him to go home..
4) To top it all a dent on rear bumper right below the boot door. The advisor agreed that it was not there when the car was brought in for service and also agreed to get it rectified. Later when I wrote to service manager regarding the same for the date/time of rectification, the advisor did a total U turn saying he had noted that dent. Funny part was the customer copy of the checklist does not show any scratches being noted by advisor but advisor main copy had. The service manager is defending that his advisor was telling the truth.I am yet to receive a response from the service manager.

Overall poor show put up by Shreeji Ford. Have written a mail to Ford Customer care, yet to receive any response.

My verdict:

Ease of setting up appointment 6/10
Estimate accuracy: 3/10
Quality of work 4/10
Delivery on promised time 4/10
Cleanliness, after service wash 4/10
Documentation - 5/10
Overall satisfaction 4/10

Suggestion: Be careful when dealing with Shreeji Ford, coz they are no longer new and are upto the old dealer tricks of looting the customer on one pretext or other.

Update on the rear bunmper dent rectification

Update:

The service manager of Shreeji Ford, Thane has agreed to rectify the dent free of cost. I will be taking the vehicle coming saturday and physically be present during the entire job. Hope this time there would be no frowning faces.

Re: Shreeji |Ford, Thane Review

yesterday, I went to shreeji Ford to check out figo. The showroom interior felt okay and not promising like honda or vw showrooms. Sales guy attended me well and answered all queries and when I asked for discount he simply refused. He said no offers for diesel version. Not even a mudflap.

Sales guy attitude was very good and he did answered all my questions, however he did not took my mobile number for followup which was kind of strange. He made no efforts at all to encourage me to buying figo which gave me kind of feeling its like take it or leave it on their terms because its a diesel car. If I ever decided to go for figo, I will seriously consider another ford dealer.

Re: Shreeji |Ford, Thane Review

Sorry to bump an old thread.

Received an SMS from Shreeji Ford stating that their Thane Workshop will now be open 7 days a week from 9.30 am to 6 pm. Earlier they used to have Sundays off. However there is no update on their website but confirmed the same with the service reps.

Re: Shreeji |Ford, Thane Review

Was looking at Shreeji Ford (which is 10 mins from my home) for a New Ford Fiesta. However this thread is make me rethink

Have they improved their service ? Can ford owners in this area spare a couple of minutes to help me out here? (Definitely don't want them hurting my pricey first car).

* Prices are definitely a bit up compared to other ford dealers
* No discounts or freebies
* However I see a lot of Fords with the Shreeji Ford (Classics + Figos) stickers
* The nearest dealer AFAIK is AVK Ford Powai (who didn't return my calls for a quote). Wasan and SC Ford : hear good things about them but too far from Thane.

Shreeji Ford, Thane ceases to be Ford Dealer

Some bad news for Thaneites. The only Ford Dealer in the city has now ceased to exist. As per the attached Ford notice in the TOI daily, it seems that Ford India has cancelled the Shreeji Ford dealership, reasons are not known as of now. My guess is poor sales, poor after sales and no positive feedback from the customer. The workshop although was an OK on with the SA's and technicians quite qualified and Ford trained.

Shreeji group also has the Tata dealership (Balaji Tata) and Fiat dealership (Balaji Fiat) on the Ghodbunder Road.

Re: Shreeji |Ford, Thane Review

I also saw this notice yesterday. However, Ford website still showing they as dealer. I enquired Ford EcoSport through Live Chat today they also suggested to contact Shreeji Ford.

Lot of communication gap internally.
