L.E.D treatment ala the Q3 to the headlights and the headlights are sharpened a bit. I dont see anything much apart that.
Expect an identity crisis with the Q3 from upfront.
The way things are going i am preferring Audi's pre-facelift vehicles to the facelift ones.

Are you sure that was'nt a Q3? The Q5 facelift was just unveiled in the Beijing auto show. Surprising for it to be on Indian roads so soon. Had spoken to the dealer a few weeks ago regarding the Q5 facelift, but he said that it would probably come around Diwali since all the focus currently is on the Q3.

I think its the face lifted Q5 not Q3. I'm enclosing two pictures from this forum itself. Q3 has a different tailgate design. Please check the pics for details. Don't know about the tail pipe though. In the orange Q3 we can see twin pipes and on the white car there only a single pipe. Could be a different engine configuration that is being tested for Q5. But I feel its definitely face lifted Q5 not Q3

Spotted the new Q5 being driven around in Bandra West. Could only snap the front as the traffic was maddening! Also saw this black Q3 test-mule following the Q5. I have a feeling that Audi has started testing the cheaper FWD-Q3 now.

That is indeed the Q5 facelift. I still don't get why they drive the cars around like that if they don't want them to be spotted. Diwali launch for Q5 FL, 5-10 lacs discounts being thrown on the Q5 strongly hints towards it. Q3 fwd should be next year IMO.

Hopefully, we should get the SQ5 soon too.

OnCars reports Facelifted Audi Q5 will be launched in India on 10th January, 2013.

Audi India is all set to begin 2013 on a high note with the launch of the facelifted model of one of its best sellers, the Q5.


In terms of changes, the new 2013 Q5 has received a subtle facelift which is typical of an Audi. On the outside, the new model gets a revised, six-point grille, updated headlights and a tweaked front bumper. While at the back, the only visible change comes in the form of updated taillights. The improvements inside the cabin are even more limited with a minor trim update and a revised steering wheel.

Under the hood, the India-bound 2013 Q5 can be had with any of the three engines expected- a 2-litre TFSI petrol, 2-litre TDI or a 3-litre TDI diesel engine. Audi says all three engines now produce more power and offer better fuel economy
