The ponton/ambassador like curve from the rear door to the rear quarter panel is thankfully gone.Even the bonnet is cleaner. Overall like what I see.

That front portion portion although is typical Merc, looks well. Liked those headlamp design as well. Although, the 10 spoke alloy looks good, i find it not fitting to the car. Or is the problem due to this view ? Is it just me or ?

Looks fantastic. But since this is the AMG version, it looks all the more souped up than the stock versions will look like. Nonetheless, I am glad they have retained the current design of the tail lamps!

A bit sad to see the unique to E-class, twin headlamp setup go. It kinda worked well as a visual distinction between the C, E and S class of cars that Mercedes sell. But the rest looks quite luxurious.

IMHO, the appreciation should go to Audi which ignited the re-designing-of-headlamps-race some years ago with their uber cool LED's.

They've opted for a more softer front fascia whilst the rest continues to evoke the boxy theme of the W123/124 models. Though everything still looks mighty impressive, I believe those tinkered details up front could have waited till the W212 predecessor came along.

Not bad at all. I like the new front end. Its got a an identity of its own.
The rear end is the ugly part and they seem to have not changed that korean looking tail lamp shape.

Now whole of the car looks a bit weird. Boring Tail Lamps and in the Front , the Merc grille is much softer and not as angular as before

The W211 is a much better car, i think its a much better buy too, even now. I just love the interiors of W211, this W212 interiors are very edgy and doesn't feel expensive.
