Re: Honda Civic AT - 35000 Kms Update With New Tyres

37000 kms came up yesterday. I have nothing to report.

All is fine - the F.E is up from 6.7 KMPL to 8.2 KMPL for the last tank full.

No squeaks, no rattles - all quiet on the inside.

I simply Fill it - Shut it - Forget it and drive.

Re: Honda Civic AT - 35000 Kms Update With New Tyres

UPDATE

44440 kms came up a couple of days back. Nothing much to report - fill it, shut it and drive. No rattles , no squeaks, no issues.

But sad news - I sold the car, with a VERY VERY HEAVY HEART.

I drove it for 18000 kms in the last 23 months and the positives and negatives are listed below.

+ Awesome space and super comfortable
+ A very good autobox
+ Peace of mind ownership
+ Rattle free
+ Build Quality

- The GC due to the long wheel base
- Boot space
- The A pillar intrudes in your view - maybe it's my driving position or what no idea.
- F.E.

The major reason behind selling off this car was the F.E. - I drive daily on the JVLR from Powai to Goregaon and people familiar with the route know what kind of traffic conditions you have to bear.

So sitting in the car traversing 6 km in an hour burning fuel worth 75 Rs per liter to get an FE of 5-6 kmpl...that cancelled out all the positives the car had.

The good news is that a very close of friend of mine has got the car, it's his 1st car which he wanted to get for his parents. And what a car he got - comfortable and absolute peace of mind.

I will miss the car terribly.

But a new story has started ...that's coming up in a new thread.

Any guesses people ?

Hi. Can totally relate to your post as a civic automatic owner. Can you pls indicate how much you were able to sell the car for as a second owner? I'm curious to get a sense of what I might be offered for my own car (Aug 09 V AT with 40k on the Odo) if I were to dispose it within the next 12-18 months.

Your next car - Jetta? Laura? Superb? I'm assuming diesel.

Hi. I am planning to buy a pre owned Civic as well. Yours is the pre face lift one? I did not know there was an aux in. Thought its only there for the latest gen Civics. Where is located?
