Hmmm, Fake, well it was just placed there so the RCA cables don't get pressed. Its in feet of 3rd row seats.

Well words words words...

To confirm sir, I put the petes thing after hooking with your thread.. you were definitely my guide, you must have noticed that I bought only the stock replacement not the CAI.

Now its time to praise the Toyota guys... Was the above enough for you sir?

------------------------------------------------------------------

I always wanted a RWD car within budget. Merc, Bemmer are not suitable motorsports considering their value.

I am a drifting fan and anyday I am looking for places to drift the D4D and yes it does well. It is a perfect RWD atleast for me. Okay now the review:

Reliability: These japs have made perfect to run vehicles. Not even a single problem till date atleast because of Toyota quality, but due to mine mistakes.

Braking: After the petes I sensed lack of braking since it is very easy to go beyong 130 mark so I upgraded the Front Wheels to 225/60/R15 Yokos following Akshay. The rear tyres are the same old Good Year 205/65/R15. Tiny tyres in the rear provide good drifting traction and make me happy all the time.

Tuning: Stock Innove never has enough power for wheel spin, petes make any day a great day to ride.

Lights: Lights on stock innova seem too dull. Upgraded to Philips 6000K HID in headlights and fogs.

Cost of ownership: Almost negligible around 2000-3000K every 10K KM. Very reasonable.

Mileage:
Always been getting 11-12KM/L. Even during the recent trip to Rajasthan when the car was doing 160 KM / RPM redlined, constantly for over few hours and still it didnt sweat anywhere. Simply awesome experience.

To all of that we have two innovas in the house one with Dad and one with me. Both are the same except for the mine with petes power.

wow now thats a great short review. seems our innovas have almost the same setup. glad my thread was of some help. i really wish the innova had a 6th gear to cruise on the highways.

and the drifting thing i myself experienced it a few days ago. i just hope it dosent eat up the clutch

Yes the sixth gear.... or a longer fifth gear since the engine max outs at 162 KM/H .

Well I have been doing burnouts since day one on the car and there is no problem with the clutch. When your enjoy doing something there is no need to worry about gas bills or clutch wear and tear.

Regards.

That was a good review on all aspects.

But taran why have you not got the 225 for rear too? is it not loosing grip in hard curves. BTW i was assuming that innova returns only say 9 to 10 per liter of Diesel.

is this a special case or its common

225 in front for braking... rear brakes are lousy so no need to worry about braking.

205 in rear so that I can intentionally lose grip.. That's what we call Drift.

No sir, We have two Innovas and the mileage is definitely above 11 KM/L Diesel. Have even got 13 sometimes when you drive around 80 KM/H.

All you need to do it stay below 3000RPM anything above that will reduce mileage since the torque curve is flat for D4D engine so over-revving has no use.

With Petes you easily accelerate in each gear. Most of my gear shifts happen at 2500-3000 RPM and then upto 4200 RPM in fifth gear cruising to 160KM.

Today sorted the ICE wires current wires run on one side of the car and RCA on the other.

Wiring moved under the mat.. Had to cut it at two places.

ICE is
Pioneer AVH 4050 DVD
Glider Mono Amp.
2xMTX 12-04 SVC Subs.
Stock Speakers.
Reverse camera that turns on automatically when reverse gear engaged. Implanted in the rear bumper. Very helpful.

Dirty car in the second pic... Yesterday took the car to our farm in the mud as it rained.

Looks nice dirty outside and perfectly cleaned inside.

To add more to this thread.. the Green Cotton filter add's a whistle sound from 2000-3000 RPM range like the one we hear to turbos.

This in turn suppresses the stupid engine noise and makes driving more comfortable.

Claps for You

I liked your review. Glad to know you converted your Innova to a Peteova by getting inspired from AK1234.

Whats the rpm you redlined @ 162kmph?

I am attaching some space saving subwoofer alternatives.

I Invite you to post your innova at
