Hi All,

From sometime now I have adding few accessories to my Ikon and recently have got new set of alloys.

Further I am seeking to get a rear spolier ,the cost of which is 8k by Ford which is too expensive and after market is around 2-3k for clamp fit type.

I need suggestion on the rear spolier, which is better clamp fitted or hole drilled & fixed?,

Possible any shops suggested in Hyd.

I bought a clam fitted spoiler for my Fiesta for Rs 2600 from Sai Bajrang Decors, Katriya Hotel Road, off Raj Bhavan Road.
Why drill a hole, clamp fitted will suffice.

Ya, I have similar impression on clamp fitted and hope the one you fitted is fine and has no rattling sound?

Also is the price with coloring ( how perfect is the color match).

Cheers!!!

The colour matched perfectly. There is no rattling sound so far---been 4 months since I fitted it. I even drove at speeds of 140, and there was no rattling at all.

dont worry about the colour matching. you can get it painted by your ford dealer also.

Can people recommend a shop in Bangalore to buy a rear spoiler please?

thanks

They just squeeze last drop of blodd when it comes to accessories.

Any idea wht they charge?

why dont you find out from them. it shouldnt be much.. about a grand id think.

Which car ? (too short)

Whats the difference between clamp fitted ones and the ones which Ford provides?

I had got mine from Ford dealer costed for about 8K and it has been bolted.
Also there is a rattling noise (even at low speeds).

I feel getting it painted at the dealers is going to cost you as much as the spoiler would cost outside.

My ignorance, but whats the difference between the clamp ones, and the drilled ones?

id think that the clamp ones just clamp on to the ends of the boot. the boot can also shut properly because of the gap between the boot and the rest of the body.. not sure. this is what i think it is.

Hi..

Few days back in Ford, I saw one Ikon with 2 huge screws fitted on the top of the boot. It was all rusty and the area around it was also rusted. I asked the fellow there what's it for. He told it's for spoiler.. Gosh I wouldn't want to drill a hole n fix screws that make the screws/area around it rusted.

I'd Rather go for clamp fitted, tho I haven't seen this type in Ford.

Even I was quoted 8k long back for the spoiler but don't know which type. I think it should be drill-and-screw-and-fix version.

You are spot on! That is how the spoiler was fitted on my car.
