Performance Plugs for Indian Motorcycles: A List

Use this thread to update us regarding the availability of aftermarket spark plugs for desi motorcycles. Don't limit this to just NGK sparkplugs you can post about any aftermarket spark plug available for use with desi bikes.

Instead of typing in everything one by one i'm uploading the image of the NGK brochure with model specific details in it. Click on the image to view in actual size.

550 is the MRP. Most dealers will let you have it for a bit less. Here at Tvm I enquired with two dealers, one an authorised NGK dealer and the other a reputed bearing shop, and they quoted 530 and 525 without I attempting any bargaining.

First you tell us the model number of the spark plug that comes as OE in the Adreno, because i don't see a spark plug listed in the catalogue for Adreno. Don't see the NGK iridium plug as the solution for your bike woes. It's not the right answer. I'd say before spending around 550 bucks for a plug get your bike tuned and serviced.

Most guys in <180-200 cc dont need NGK - waste of cash for little performance (spoke to some modders in da business) gains as compression is low.

You can do with Bosch twin headed plugs for 106 bucks as of April 08. Cheap and besht.

NGK are good plugs and specially since you have them in India now the cost is not more than regular plugs; on the colder plau like 8's it is availble in Mumbai i beleive one of my freinds in running it but only is the HS category not ES the one i am hunting for

Not sure about the cost but just clarify it should be a pack of ten each plug is not more than 100 odd bucks if my memory serves me right; so i would prefer it on any other plug not becasue it will give me performace no plugs give you performance unless you either move from projcted to non projected as your timings changes. (The claims of use this plug & get 10 BHP is all marketing giommicks)

I see no iridium plug for unicorn.
How would be the performance of 2 stroke spark plugs like BPR7HIX as the 2stroke plugs have to produce more spark for burning both petrol & oil.
