Auto art - Different kind

Hi team,

I have been doing something, just out of my love for autos, and wanted to share it with you all. I don't know if art is the right word here. Suggestions and feed-backs are welcomed.

P.S. - Mods please change anything to more appropriate

Re: Auto art - Different kind

Indianvirus, can you please explain what you are doing here. It more of looks like a resin based logo design you made of the Fiat Logo. I might be wrong, so please correct me by explaining what exactly is this art all about.

Re: Auto art - Different kind

@ traveloholic and mayankk,

This is a fiat logo engraved / carved out of a acrylic piece, as I said in first post, art may not be the right word at all. Please excuse for the pic quality. This is result of a free engraving machine, some spare acrylic pieces and a auto lover.

Nice!

How do you engrave the logos?
Do you use some kind of a computerized machine or are you creating these pieces manually?

Thanks SRK,

Yes, I have a computerized engraving machine.

@SX4lover, Thanks mate, as I said earlier, this is just bi product of lots of time and a free engraving machine. It's just hobby, no business here. And thanks for mukul goyal link, the guy's outstanding.

Re: Auto art - Different kind

iv, thats superb acrylic carvings!
Can you please elaborate the kind of business you are into? I mean what exactly you do with engraving machine? (yea, google will help but would like to know what a bhp-ian doing with it!)

Just got some ideas so thought to share it.
1. What about coloring them?
2. What about trying it on colored acrylic sheets?
3. Can we think of any useful products from it, preferably to keep in our car, like ash-tray (I don't smoke!), key-chains, any thing better?

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Auto art - Different kind

@ispoke,

Thanks mate, a engraving machine can be used for various purposes, small dies, moulds, inlays, momentos, artifacts, name plates, electrodes etc. Apart from those, it can be used as general purpose applications like light milling, drilling, profiling etc.

I am into manufacturing for various kind of machinery. One of it, is a CNC engraving machine. All these are made on the same machine. The idea of coloring is great, but I am not so good (actually bad - tried it) with it. Colored acrylic is a good idea as well, that's what I am going to do next. As for the application we can make anything we want (if it's doable on machine). i made a key chain of TATA logo for my B-I-L, for his Nano. I will post of the same later.

Regards.
