The Most Drop-Dead Gorgeous Machines Ever Thread

This thread is to feature anything that comes under the category of machines that may or may not be very useful to the mankind or be utterly pointless but is drop-dead gorgeous to look at.

This shall not be limited to cars, or as a matter of fact, even automobiles. Anything which falls under the machine category.

This is my personal list, Don't know how many of you will agree with me, but this is what tops my list

Better check first if people are insured for dehydration. Can't stop drooling over them.

Re: The Most Drop-Dead Gorgeous Machines Ever Thread

Thanks a ton guys!

Apart from cars, I've always been a fan of airplanes, which includes warplanes. Even though they can't match function with any of the most-modern warplanes, in the form department, there are only a few others that match the magnificence of the Supermarine Spitfires.

I hope there are more like-minded Spitfire fans aboard and thought of sharing this very informative fully documented history of IAF Spitfires.

Dude! This is brilliant!

What a wonderful compilation of pictures. Loved the metal birds, and the flightless ones as well. Great stuff man! Subscribed. I hope you keep updating the thread. I don't want it to go dead after a week.

What a feast for eyes. However, the zonda is conspicuous by it's absence.

Re: The Most Drop-Dead Gorgeous Machines Ever Thread

Spitfire was one of the finest fighters of that era. When Goering(chief of Luftwaffe, the German airforce) asked Galland,a senior officer under him as what he would like to have, his answer was: a squadron of spitfires.

Re: The Most Drop-Dead Gorgeous Machines Ever Thread

My favourite is and has always been, the SR-71 Blackbird. Given that this is almost 50 years old now, and has been retired completely, due to a changed world, this plane was so so ahead of it's time, and perhaps still is! It's economics and operability might be screwed up by our priorities today, but it definitely is one of the foremost triumphs of technology.
