You all are supposed to be car obcessed people.. whatever spare money you have SHOULD BE INVESTED IN YOUR RIDE.. tsk tsk.. forshame on you folks!!

Buddy, not at all irrelevant.

The idea is to discuss ways and means to upgrade from the Civic/Embera discussions to more posts on BMWs and then Bentley, Rolls Royce etc. Everybody is keen to get that extra BHP through the smart investment route.

Hiya all,

for me , I wouldnt count "investment in own business" as an investment thing as that is a must, without which ur business wud stop running! so thats obvious the money goes there, the "investment" part for me is Realestate outright! no stocks no gold no nothings, just Real Estate. and now have started trading in it !

One of the best site to know and analyze mutual funds

http://www.valueresearchonline.com/

my 90 paise

For those who think that they have no spare money to invest........... I learnt this hardway and got an advise from a elderly person and I am thankful to him everyday. I am seeing the cumulative effect now.

"If your salary is 100/- put it aside some portion for savings, i.e. per say 15/-; start thinking that your salary is only 85/- and plan accordingly". I bet you will be the happiest person down the road.

same 90 paise from above... Can't make it 1.80/-

For me, real estate is the safest investment option. Especially in Chennai where land prices double every other year.

I have some in the conventional LIC type of investments.
Some money is in the mutual funds.
I tried my hand in the share market, but I got to know I am not sauvy enough to make money there. I am therefore planning to be a part of Bangalore's real estate boom.
