1st Mahindra XUV500 to be ICE'd!

Hi Everyone,

Finally i went for the upgrade that was due from the moment i bought XUV. Some of the stuff was bought in Feb 2011 and was waiting for a new car to get them installed. I already have a Fiesta ICEd and i didn't wanted to take stuff out from it as it sounds amazing, hence bought new stuff.

Ok now the things that went in.

1. Audison Bit 10
2. Alpine SPX 17PRO comps for front
3. Morel 6" coax for rear
4. DLS RA20 Amp for front
5. JBL 1004 amp for rear and sub
6. IDV3 12" sub
7. Kicker Dual amp wiring
8. Gladen RCA's
9. Dynamite Extreme damping in front doors

Could you post pictures of the front dashboard as to how it looks now, did not really understood if you have changed the ICE as well or not. Also whats the total cost of this fitment.

Last but not the least, how does it sound as compared to the one which comes with XUV 500?

Please shows pics of how the rear speakers are placed, where both the amps are placed & also, how the sub is fitted...

Most importantly, any ratling from anywhere post install?

that door location looks nice. more of a point source than what most cars have. Can you confirm the available install locations in the car as a guide for other XUV owners

Quite a hefty gadgetary you got there for upgrade.
The Front Amp seems to be under LH Front Pass seat. Any likelihood of it getting booted from behind and damaged?

Did you have to cut metal for tweeters in the front doors?

How is the sound effect compared to the stock now?

Do share some detailed pics.

Is there any other switch installed to switch off the amplifier?
What does the audison bit-10 do?

As a potential XUV customer, I would be following this thread closely.

Being completely new to ICE in general, even I was wondering about quite a lot of the things.

The dynamite damping stuff looks neat. How thick is it? Did you get the hatch door damped as well?

The JBL amp seems to be installed under the fromt passenger side seat. Is it installed below the carpet? Does it interfere with the extended legs of somebody seating in the rear seat?

And finally, curious to know how big a hole does a setup like this burn in the wallet?

I haven't changed company fitted HU, its the same. This is the reason i bought Bit 10. Will post the pic later on.
Sound quality: of-course its way way better than what it was before. Just need some time to adjust the time alignment as i got late while installing all these equipment so will do it asap.

The pic of rear speakers are there in the set of pics below. The one which shows Morel speakers is the one.
Both amps are under seats. Could not take pic of DLS as it got dark and my i-phone does not have a flash, but will click it asap. Sub is in box, but i need to figure out how to stop him moving around while driving.
Rattling is there when played loud from the back door. Will see for some time and if it increases, then will get that damped too.

Yes both amps are under the seats. As for them getting damaged, well these amps are quit well built and can stand little bit of abuse, unless and until a person deliberately tries to mess up with them. Also, i drive alone 95% of the time and rest 5 percent with my wife, so there is no one at the back.
No metal was cut as tweeters are placed on the side mirrors caps which are made of plastic.

Thanks bro. This was done at Driven, that's the place i have been going for all my cars from many years now. As for the total damage, well it was little above 100K all together. Some of the stuff was bought in Feb and was lying with me all this while waiting for a new car, and rest was bought from Driven while getting it installed.

No switch, used splitter to get around that. Bit 10 is a sound processor which helps in getting better sound quality from your stock HU. For better understanding, try the link below:

Dynamite Extreme is quit thick and does its job well. I haven't damped hatch yet but i think i might have to as there is a little bit of vibrations at high volumes.Both amps are under seat and as said above, they are strong enough if someone place their legs on them (ofcourse not stand on them). Also rear legroom is way too much.As for the hole, its quit a big one for sure (little above 100K)

Thanks a lot Rachit. Driven is a very nice place to get ICE. They are experienced and have lot of tie ups with others that can help new people. Go for it and get your Vento ICEd

Bought it from Driven itself. It retails for 20K but got a discount (after all have been giving them a lot of business all these years)
