550i should be the present gen. the previous gen had 545i and then the M5 in the 5 series lineup.

Does a blue number plate mean LHD is allowed?

I think in Delhi, a blue number plate means an Embassy car. Or UN, either one of them.

Blue number plate in Delhi means it's a Diplomatic vehicle. If CD is written on the car then it's an Embassy car, if UN is written on it, then it belongs to someone working in any branch of the UN, including UNICEF, World Bank etc...

Ex: 77 CD is American Embassy
11 CD is British High Commission

21 UN is World Bank..

cheers:

PS: If anyone can, try to visit the Quatari Embassy grounds, you'll see some beautiful Mercs. The Ambassidor provided he hasn't changed in the last 4 years, had 2 S500s, 2 E somethings, bulletproof. He also had an SL AMG for the weekends, it can be spotted being driven Sunday early mornings around Chanakyapuri and Shanti Path. All his cars are black...They're all parked in a line behind the Embassy

The C320 looks like a 2005+ euro model. Its a Hatchback design but Mercedes calls it Coupe, much like the BMW 318 coupe.
