Please help here guys. My Swift is just a week old and for the last couple of days i hear a faint creaking sound from the back while driving. It is definitely not of Suspension but it is driving me nuts. Can it be of the spare tyre? I really dunno.. but it is definitely a creak. Please help put my mind to rest.

passioncool74,

Welcome to Team-Bhp.

Have a look at What's that sound thread and find if it helps or check sparewheel yourself.

if your problem does not solve then there is always Maruti Authorised Service Station.

Cheers,
Mugen_Power.

swift creaking

the noise is from the rear seat.

its from the point where the hinge locks in to the seat and the sound is of metal agains metal.

Try this,

1. unlock the seat from the hinge and fold it down.

2. NExt, get some electric tape and wrap the hinge with a reasonable amount of the tape.

3. pull back the seat.

hopefully this will reduce the noice mostly if not completely.

thanx

thanx girish, i think you have the perfect solution to my problem because i have observed that the sound comes only when the rear seat is empty. If someone is sitting at the back, there are no creaks at all.... thanx man.
