| Destination : Vaderahalli Lake (Bangalore) Route : Via Kanakapura road Date : July 1st, 2012 Distance : 32kms Cyclists : Hrushikesh, Ganesh, Ravichandra and Chethan(myself) Route map : Click here As a part of the Sunday morning ride, we wanted to explore some new places. After googling for a while, found this place Vaderahalli Lake and the pictures looked very inviting. I shared this information with few of our folks and also posted the ride plan in the cycling forum. Going by the response I got, I expected at least 6-8 cyclists to join this ride but ended up only with 4 riders. As discussed the previous night, we all met up near Devegowda petrol bunk at 6:30 in the morning. Hrushikesh and I knew each other, but Ganesh and Ravi were the new faces in this ride. After the initial greeting I briefed them about the route and we all started. We rode at out own pace and it took us a good 45-50 minutes to reach the lake. The location was beautiful and everyone liked it. I was glad for having suggested this place. We discussed lot of things, go to know each other well, spent time taking photographs and finally left the place after being there for an hour. On the way back, we stopped again for a small photo session, also had some tender coconuts, reached home by 10:00am. PS : Awesome place to go cycling, especially in a large group. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by bblost : 3rd July 2012 at 15:41. | Senior - BHPian | Just the day before you guys (i.e. on Saturday) we (me, Hellwrath and my BIL) were there, for photography though. A nice little place just around the corner. I was thinking that it would be a good place to come cycling and you guys just did that. Thanks for sharing. |

| Nice pics. Short and sweet description. Wish if we could have anything like that near delhi! Probably its a matter of shame to cycle there Cyclists are bare minimum and all those who are, do it for necessity. |
