Tantalizing India. 3 Dudes, 16000 kms, 18 Days

Came across this article on the Hindu:
The Hindu : Karnataka / Belgaum News : Driving 16,000 km just for thrill

Anyone know these guys? A record such as this should belong to a BHPian!!

I hope they are Bhpians, or enroll sooner. 18 days and 16000 kms. Now out with the calculations. I hope they don't theme this adventure to environment awareness and drive a CRV, if you know what I mean. Best of luck guys. I wish you break the record.

Just checked their route on Tantalizing India | 3 Dudes. 18 Days. Over 16000 Kms. | Aadil Bandukwala, Sameer Siddique & Ratheesh Kumar all set to create a World Record by Perimetering India in a Ford Endeavor
It sounds circuitous. They definitely are not BHPians. Had they been BHPians, they'd have taken the help of HVK to formalize a route that connects all the state capitals in a more effective and shorter (in time) way!
Hope they get to know of BHP and HVK and replan their route!
But hats off to them and I'm going to be following their trip from June 16th on their website.

+Infinity & more than true

But somehow, the following extract from the Tantalizing India makes me feel envious on them!!! "While we’re doing this monstrous drive, we do not intend to stop at cities and check into hotels. We’d be driving 24 x 7. While 2 of us keep the car on the road, one of us will every now and then catch up with some sweet sleep.
Bottom line: 18 Days, 24 x 7 Driving, Over 16,000 kms, Tweeting, Blogging, Hogging and Discovering India"

Totally agree with Aargee. They sure will have a blast (one way or the other!). This record is surely doable. And yes, the route does seem a "bit" circuitous. So on that note, why not plan the perfect route? Let's start from there and see what follows!

This is a fantastic effort, and even I am envious of them.

I agree that the planning could have done with guidance from experts like HVK, but then the unknown terrains wouldn't have been completely unknown.

Great going guys, and kudos to you for venturing into such an adventure.

Cheers and Good Luck.

I don't think there's any unknown terrain left in India with the kind of travellers we have in BHP.
Seems these people have embarked on a great drive around and the limca record is just an icing on the cake. Great photos there Kittur. Thanks for sharing.

I read the non-stop driving part and felt, no way this will be no fun at all.
Then I saw the pics. They are having fun allright.

Cheers to the Wandering spirits.

Mods,
Request you to please change the title to " Tantalizing India, 3 Dudes, 16000 kms, 18 Days " and be moved to Travelouges. I would like to update the trip on behalf of the 3 Dudes. Hope Neel agrees.
Thanks.
