All this delight-full talk had made me post this pic. of a rather nice later delight (short rear bumper) I spotted in Secunderabad today.
This is a kind of "sneak pic" hence that odd angle at which the pic. was taken!

Its been fitted with President hubcaps, apart from the usual non-original padmini stuff. Neat car though.

Are you positive those are President bumpers? The last of the Delights had hubcaps identical to the President ones but with a "FIAT" script in the centre.

Well I cant recall having come across any such delight hubcaps. I thoiught the last ones had aluminium hubcaps with the logo in the dimple at the centre, as on your delight?

Yes, Shyam, I have myself seen Delights produced in 1971 and 1972 with identical chrome wheel caps and FIAT script in the centre.
However, they were really very few in number.
In fact, I may still have an old one lying at home which we utilised as a tray to clean carbs with petrol.
