I think we can expect heavy rains and showers and slush on this OTR?

The Hindu : News / National : Depression over north Bay of Bengal

Seems to be too Northerly but sometimes these things influence cloud formations really far off.

Thanks for sharing the weather info. I would look at this report as fun factor.

Yes it would be fun factor if rightly utilised. Please do plan to camp and park away from the river bed (as I requested earlier)

Thank you for advice and wishes. This river is dry for ages and even in monsoon, no water flow.

We had a great time Off roading on sand (bit disappointed since we had to skip the dunes) and pleasure meeting the TBHPians.

MP Sir Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Hope you guys enjoyed the trail yesterday,
had to return back early due to personal commitments.

Did you guys go till gauribidennur? Or was it the starting point and came back towards bangalore?

We went till manchena halli where this river bed is located, few kms before Gauribidanur.

There was another group doing a OTR on a different river bed for TPC 2011 at the same time. The only difference between this group and the other would have been the temperature.

While I guess the Blr boys were comfortable at 29 -33 Degrees, the Chn ones were roasting at 39 -41 degrees.
