Saw some pics of your vehicle, not to mention the front arches do suit good, just the rear does not match. ( BTW how much did you get them for)

As I am preparing for the Leh trip and learning about the capabilities and limitations of various 4x4s and soft-roaders, I have been getting impressed the most by the Gurkha (barring the looks, and reports on it's gear-box and on road manners)...

The next SUV Off-Road Excursion is on 6&7th July.

1. Date: 6-7 July 2013: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

2. This is a non competitive off road event. The trail has been designed to give SUV owners the experience of handling their vehicles off road.

3. Open to
a) 4x4 SUVs
b) AWD SUVs
c) 4 x 2 SUVs (Only for 6th July)

4. Max 4 people per vehicle (including children).

5. Participation Fees:
a) Rs 3,000/- per head including taxes. (2 Days)
b) Rs1500/- Per head (1Day)
c) Night Stay at GOLDEN BEACH RESORT Rs2000 per head including Dinner & Breakfast.
d) Children 6-12yrs -Rs1000

6. No alcohol to be carried or consumed during the event.

7. No firearms/ weapons / contraband drugs to be carried.

8. No refunds.

9. Dress Code:
a) Outdoor clothing: (Jeans/Shirts/Tees/Sports shoes)
b) Caps/sunscreen/sunglasses
c) Do carry a towel, soap and a change of clothes as you might like to shower and change before leaving the camp.

is that a lady driving the black scorpio (TN***3119)? YES! Its a lady!! Kudos to the lady. This is something that is not commonly seen in India and even globally. May you be an inspiration to more ladies in this area. Good stuff!

Hi!

I had been to the excursion in May 2013, but due to unavoidable reasons attended only the second day, 12th May 2013.

I met up with the guys at the ECR and drove to the site. After a bit of cross country driving, the cordinators arranged a few obstacles which we enjoyed conquering before winding up for lunch. Congrats to the team! It was well arranged and looking forward for the next opportunity.

I was driving the Pajero. It seemed quite easy with the initial few km. The first obstacle was a steep slope going down about 3feet with a demanding break over angle. I was quite nervous, but the moment one of the cordintors saw me hesitating, he jumped off and came to guide me through it. After a bit more driving, the participants were made to line up while the cordinators fixed the obstacle circuit and their 'spotter' positions.

First off the line, the Pajero got beached, that was me just learning to use the right pedals at the right time. The next few hours was a lot of fun with sand and torque fighting each other, getting stuck, shaken up, towed out, etc. Finally wound up the session and drove back for lunch.

Big word of appreciation to all the cordinators and arrangers of the event.
