SS8 : max time 7 mins:
Another tame looking SS had its own share of topples on day 2. Spectator’s favourite SS on day saw few high speed runs but most of them caught unaware in sharp surprising turns and a big un-conquering rock situated at steep hill.
Some competitors had one of the fastest times logging here at the same time some competitors were seen struggling with sudden and frequent variance throughout the track. it started with a deep rutty decline, take left again climb up, than there was a sharp right turn with undulation which saw same dramatic moments, once you clear it go down and straight up for few meters than take right for incline, clear few more huddles and then comes a big rock in a sharp right, if you go over rock and take right your vehicle will tilt dangerously, if you don’t go over rock you break the bunting. Trick was to take a long turn with few reverse and forward movements align your vehicle straight and than clear the obstacle. Once done with this obstacle there was a straight run to end with incline at end.













































Special mention of this participant from ‘The Inlanders Kolhapur’, their vehicle toppled in one of the SS but without losing hope, they managed to lift their vehicle and complete the SS within stipulated time. Respect !

SS9 max time 6 mins:
Jaw dropping drop, challenging articulation and approach angle of your vehicle summarizes this special stage. Organizers set up the SS in such a way that participants had to use ladders provided by organizers to complete the track without penalty. Few RFC specced vehicles defied this logic but rest also followed the suit and ended up either breaking their vehicle or getting 2-3 penalties. Competitors who used ladder ended up completing SS with almost no penalties in fastest time.
We saw various strategies used by competitors, initially first obstacle was steep and vehicles had to use ladders to clear it but after that came lifted vehicles and they literally demolished the steep wall. After that it was a diagonal road for few meters and then a sharp U turn with incline and than one more sharp U turn and than there was a big rock strategically placed in such a way that if you don’t go through rock you end up breaking bunting and if you go through rock, you need to use ladder to clear it. But again lifted vehicles had advantage here and they cleared this obstacle without ladder. But majority of participants opted to take penalty in order to complete the SS faster but participants who didn’t take penalty even with longer SS duration ultimately won it.

SS10: max time 5 mins:
Setup in farthest point from event headquarters (event HQ had some amazing display of offroad vehicles, accessories, recreational vehicles, famed RFC Gurkha) had something unusual to offer.
It started with jaw dropping decline articulating through tricky situations and leading you to confusing maze of zig zags and than through cactus umbrella, one wrong move and marshals ensure you get the penalty. After the decline it leads you to an U turn in and around big cactus trees and then a tight left turn takes you inside though a cactus in an incline filled with ditches. After that you need to take right and reach to end point through maze of zig zags and tricky obstacles.

Thank you Anand ji. You should plan for next year, hope next monsoon wont disappoint like this yes. But rain god listened to us and after day 01 afternoon, it rained like hell.........

I heard it was a great event and too bad I couldn't make it.

Btw, Soumya sir is seen flogging the old lady a fair bit. She sure seems up for the job in the hands of the expert.

Thank you Aditya Bana for appreciation. Soumya SIR has mastered the art of offroading in petrol jeep
Hopefully we will have a separate SUV trail next year.
