One coming up this weekend -- 13/14th Sept. Camping + Barbecue + OTR @ Solegiri.

Stay at night in Tents.

PS: I am not going to this one as of now.

Ok, I simply couldn't resist going for this one. So I will be going for this one.

I have space for 1-2 people to join me in my Gypsy. Feel free to join (but read the conditions carefully before deciding)

The Plan:

Leave Bangalore @ approx 10.00 am - 10.30 am for Soligere
Have late B'fast/food at Kanakpura
Stock food/drink at Kanakpura
Start OTR from Muthathi side.
Reach Soligere peak by 6 - 6.30 pm
Stay, Camp, cook food at night
Leave for Bangakole Sunday morning @ approx 10.00 am
Reach Bangalore -- depending on time it takes to complete the OTR downhill.

MANDATORY Conditions (for people wanting to join)

You will join this at your own risk. I or any other member will not be responsible for any injury etc that you may suffer during the OTR
You will be responsible for your safety & well being during the OTR
You will have to bring you own sleeping bag/blanket, warm clothes, toiletries etc for the night/camping.
You are not expected to pay the fuel costs. Yes. I don't take fuel costs from people joining me for OTR's
You will have to share the food costs
You will have to make your own arrangements for reaching the meeting point (METRO@Kanakpura Road) on Saturday morning and to home on Sunday from the drop place in Bangalore

Going to pick up a sleeping bag. Shall wait for 1 more hour. at 9:00 the store closes. So, if u call by then, i shall pick up an extra sleeping bag too.

The Gypsy gang (as in Suzuki_Gypsy-India) from Bangalore is planning to do a Ramanagaram OTR this Sunday morning. Please contact member dwaraka for details.

Guys, there are plans brewing for a Soligere OTR tomorrow (Saturday 25th Oct). The plan is either leave early morning & come back in evening or leave at noon/later and camp there for night.

Currently we have 3 4x4's confirmed. 1 or 2 more 4x4's can join us. No more than that as the terrain would be tricky considering the recent rains.

Will post the final plan later in the evening/night.

Here is what the plan looks right now:

Leave Bangalore by noon/lunch time (that means ~1.00 pm - 2.00 pm). Reach Soligere by evening and camp there for night. Come back tomorrow morning.

4 vehicles confirmed till now -- 2 jeeps (Kiran/Dhwanit), 2 gypsies(Mukund/Mine).

Guys, the report from forest officials is that it has been raining continuously for past few days there. So it will be one hell of an OTR.

Ok, as always with the last minute programs, there has been a change of plans.

We leave now at 5.00 am in the morning from METRO. Some folks were tied up with some work and we couldn't leave them behind. There were suggestions of starting at 12.00 midnight for the OTR but sanity prevailed :-).

One coming up this sunday @ Chudemahalli (about 5 kms from Sarjapur. Approach from Koramangala or Whitefield via varthur lake)

It is a lake bed and with the recent rains it should be a great slush/muddy terrain. It should be a 1/2 day OTR with starting after b-fast and finishing around lunch time.

Folks, change of the venue for this Sunday: It is now at Thipagondahalli. (NOT sarjapur Road)

Starting point Relianced Petrol Station on Magadi Road at 7 a.m.

Breakfast enroute Dharshini Hotel near Nice road bridge.

Planned return by 2 p.m. for lunch.
